What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that the site saves in your browser when you visit it. Cookies help the site remember your settings (e.g., chosen theme) between visits and understand which content is read more often. Cookies do not contain viruses and cannot damage your device.
What cookies we use
We divide cookies into three categories per Austrian legislation and GDPR requirements. Essential cookies work by default — they are needed for the site to function. Analytics and marketing — only with your consent via the banner on the first visit.

Legal basis for cookies
Each cookie category has its own legal basis under Article 6 of GDPR:
- Essential — site operator's legitimate interest for basic site functioning (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- Analytics — your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 5(3) ePrivacy)
- Marketing — your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 5(3) ePrivacy)
How to manage cookies
You can change your choice at any time through three mechanisms:
1. Cookie banner
At the first visit a banner appears offering to choose a cookie category. You can accept all, only essential, or go to settings for granular choice. The choice is saved for 365 days, then the banner reappears.
2. Settings page
To change your choice before 365 days expire, open the cookie settings — the banner will appear again, you can change the choice.
3. Browser settings
You can disable cookies entirely in browser settings. Instructions for popular browsers:
If you disable all cookies, essential site functions (theme, checklist, forms) will not work.
Third parties and cookie transfer
Analytics and marketing cookies are set by third parties (Google, Meta, LinkedIn). Their privacy policies are available at the respective services. We do not control the data they collect, but we minimize their presence on the site: no autoplay videos, no social media widgets, no commenting tools.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to withdraw cookie consent at any time without consequences. You can also request a copy of data collected via cookies by writing to dpo@investment-migration.com. Response time: 30 days.
Policy changes
If we add new cookies or change the purpose of existing ones, we update this page and notify through the banner on the next visit. The policy change history is available upon request to dpo@investment-migration.com.
